My Classroom

I have a nice classroom. It is located in Mahala Campus, building B on the second floor. The number of the room is 17. It is big and spacious. There are 60 chairs in my classroom. There is one big white-board on the wall. It has white colored walls with a brown door. There are two windows in the back of the room. We have air conditioner and a new projector in our classroom. There is one table for the teacher. It has many lamps in the ceiling. My classroom is good, and all the students like it.

My Family

I live with my family in Abha. I have a big family. I have two brothers and 3 sisters. My grandparents live with us. My father is a teacher. My mother is a home maker. One of my brothers is a doctor. He is a dentist. The other is a high school student. All of my sisters are students. My grandfather was a soldier. My grandparents are from Bisha originally. They moved to Abha 25 years ago. We have a big house in Al Moadfeen Street. We have breakfast together every day. All of us like watching soccer matches on TV. Our favorite team is Al Hilal. We are a happy family, and we love one another.

My Daily Activities

My Free Time

Life is busy these days, so almost every one likes to have free time. I like my free time too. I don’t have a lot of free time, because I am a hardworking student. In my free time, I like to go out with my friends. Sometimes I go shopping with my family. I eat out with my cousins on the weekends. Playing football is my hobby in free time. In the evening, I watch TV and go on the Internet when I have free time. I sometimes visit my grandparents on the weekends. Sleeping is enjoyable for me in my free time. I like what I do in my free time.

My Daily Routine

My name is Naif. I am a student at a university. I

would like to tell you about how I spend my day. In

the morning, I get up at 5 o’clock, and I pray Fajr in

the mosque. Then I have breakfast with my family at

7:15 a.m. After that I start my car and go to the

college. At 12:00 noon, I have lunch with my friends

at the university café. I finish my classes at 3 o’clock.

Then I get home and take a nap. After that I do my

homework, watch TV, check e-mail and read some

newspapers. At 9:30, I have dinner with my family.

Finally, I go to bed at 10:30. I think my day is busy.

My Neighborhood

I live in a great neighborhood. Its name is Al-Mansak. It is quiet and convenient. There’s a big supermarket and some nice stores. There are two nice cafes and a couple of good bookstores. There is a beautiful little park. There are a couple of fast food places and some great restaurants. Our neighbors are nice. We have a big beautiful mosque. The houses are modern and new. There are a couple of apartment buildings. There is a small playground. The streets are wide and clean. I just love this neighborhood. It’s a great place to live.

Exercise

Exercise is important for health. There are many types of exercise. Some people play sports to exercise. Some others do weight training, karate and aerobics. Many people go walking, running, jogging, biking and swimming. Young people like to play football, basketball, and some of them work out at the gym. Cleaning your house and doing laundry are also exercises. Offering Prayer is a very good exercise. Every one needs to exercise at least five times a week. Doing exercise keeps you in shape and makes you strong. You feel active, energetic and happy. Exercise is good for your mind and body. If you want to live a healthy life, exercise.

Weather in Abha

The weather in Abha is great all the year. Abha is one of the most beautiful and liked cities in Saudi Arabia because of its weather. In the summer, thousands of people visit this city for its cloudy and rainy weather. When it becomes very hot in all the Kingdom, the weather in Abha is cool. In the winter, it’s cold and sometimes dry, but it never snows. People use warm clothes in winter. As the spring comes, the trees become green, and you see colorful flowers everywhere. We can find many kinds of local fruit in the spring and summer. In fact people visit this city to enjoy its weather. There are only few cities in Saudi Arabia with such a nice weather.

My Favorite Store

My favorite store is Extra. I like it because it has everything I want. I usually go there once a month, and I wait for their grand sale all the year. They have a big sale once a year for seven days in October. They sell electronic devices, and they have many sections, such as, cell phones, computers, cameras, TVs and almost all home appliances. I like to buy latest computers, cell phones and cameras from Extra. They always have special offers. Their service is great. They have many branches in Saudi Arabia. They have thousands of customers who trust them. It’s a great store with competitive prices.

Shopping

Shopping is part of human life. Some people like it, and it is fun for them. For some others it’s boring. There are shopping malls, stores, supermarkets and souks where people go to buy things. Online shopping is also becoming popular these days. We have to shop something almost every day. There are many kinds of shopping places we find such as, grocery stores, bookstores, electronic stores, toy shops and boutiques. Shopping is important for every one, but one should not waste his money buying unnecessary things. Shopping is one of our needs in our life. We have to do it carefully saving our time and money.

A Tour Guide to Abha

Abha is famous for its mountains, parks and beautiful weather. First go to the Green Mountain. Then visit Al Soda and Al Habala mountains. You can enjoy the sunset on the top of the mountain in Al-Sihab Park. You can visit Souq Al Thalatha to buy traditional things. You can meet local people anywhere. People usually wear thobe and ghotra. This city is city of parks and gardens. There are great places to visit everywhere. The weather is really nice particularly in the summer. This city is one of the most beautiful cities in the kingdom. If you visit it you will not forget it for ever.

My Last Vacation

I remember my last vacation. It was wonderful. I enjoyed a lot during this vacation. I travelled to the capital city of Saudi Arabia. I visited my grandparents and my cousins. I stayed there for 10 days. I went out every day. I watched a great soccer match between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. I went shopping in many malls. I saw Al Mamlika Tower. I took a lot of pictures from the top of the building. I went to a horse race. I went to a desert with my cousins for camping. I also visited Al Masmak castle. I ate in 2 expensive restaurants. It was a great time. I can’t forget that.

My First Day at College

I remember my first day at college. I couldn’t sleep well the previous night. I was excited. I got up early. I went to the college at 7:30 a.m. I met some other students at the cafeteria. We were worried about our time table. Then we found our classrooms in building B. We met some of our teachers. It was only introduction. They told us about the subjects, books, methods of exams and our time table. I liked to be as a college student after a long school life. It was a great day. I will always remember it.
